Support the MVCCC
Support this new and much-needed initiative to strengthen college access for Vineyard residents. The MVCCC will partner with regional community colleges to provide college-credit classes that will enable Vineyard high school graduates to begin or complete an Associate’s Degree without leaving the Island, removing barriers to accessing education. The program will also provide certification options in Early Childhood Education and needed health-care skills so that students can complete Years 1 and 2 of college at the same time earning professional credentials.
A key component of the MVCCC is providing essential services to students to support class success: in addition to facilitating the college access, our program will provide wraparound supports such as a safe, in-person learning environment, tutoring and coaching, bus passes for transportation, childcare if needed, study space, and a cohort learning experience that provides a sense of purpose and confidence.
